Step one: The Roster Page
This is the RecSports Roster page. Here you will find links to the sports as well as to this and other tutorial about online rosters.

Step two: Sports List
This list shows the currently available sports for the current/upcoming semester. For this tutorial we are going to choose Ultimate Frisbee.

Step three: Log In
The would-be team captain signs in here. Only the team captain can create and edit a team. What that means is IF YOU CREATE A TEAM YOU ARE CAPTAIN BY DEFAULT. Therefore you are responsible for your team and updating the roster.

Step four: Creating a Team - Activity
From the activities menu select which activity you wish to participate in.I am choosing Ultimate Frisbee - Mens. This menu is gender biased. Men can't create women's teams and vice versa.

Step five: Creating a Team - Semester
Next, select which semester you wish to participate in. Since fall is coming I choose Fall 2005.

Step six: Creating a Team - Division
Next, choose your division. Viking is more competitive and leisure if pretty self explanitory. I am choosing leisure.

Step seven: Creating a Team - Team Name
Now enter in a team name and click on "Create Team" Make sure to double check your information.

Step eight: The Online Roster
Here is the online roster. This is where you can add or delete team members, get an e-mail list of your team's player (to contact them), change your division and submit schedule conflicts.

Step nine: Add a player
Besides you (the captain) you will probably want other people one your team. Click the "Add a New Player" link to go to the new player page.

Step Ten: Add a player - Student
To add a student or employee player make sure "Student / Employee" is selected then enter the Campus E-Mail Address (i.e. DOE08002) then click "Add Player".

Step eleven: Add a player - Non-Student
To add a non-student player select "Non-Student" and then select that person from the list of pre-approved non-student players. To add someone to the approved list, contact the RecSports office in Hart 223 (496-2115) for more information.

Step twelve: Schedule Conflict
Due to the varying schedules of RecSports participants there might be times when your team can't play. To submit this information along with your roster you can click the "Submit Schedule Conflict" button.

Step thirteen: Schedule Conflict - Entry
This is the schedule conflict entry page. Type in your conflict (be clear) and we then hit "Send".

Step fourteen: Schedule Conflict - Added
If you have successfuly submitted your schedule conflict it will appear on your roster (see above picture).

Step fifteen: Submit Roster
This step is very important. If you do not submit your roster it will only sit on the server and your team will never actually be scheduled. To submit your roster hit "Submit Roster."

Step sixteen: Create or Edit Screen
Ater you have created a team you can return to the roster page and create a new roster for another sport or edit an existing one.

Step seventeen: Your teams
If you decide to edit a roster this page displays your teams. Select one to edit it. You can also reach this page by clicking "Edit your teams" on the Roster page. If you have further questions don't hesitate to contact us.
