| Competition is divided into two
divisions: Ward and Independent teams.
Ward teams must be made up of members whose records reside within a given ward. Ward teams are also open to Bishopric members. The spouses of Bishopric members may play only if they hold a leadership calling within the ward. Children of the Bishopric members are not eligible to play.
Student teams must be entirely comprised of enrolled students in good standing. Continuing education courses do not count toward enrollment status. No non-students or non-enrolled students may participate in either league. Students who are off-track or on-track but are not registered for classes may also participate.

Each division is divided into three leagues: Viking, Thor, and Leisure. Teams may choose which league to participate in according to their skill level. The leagues are defined as follows:
"VIKING" league is for players whose skill level is former College, High School All State, All Conference, and/or players who want to compete in a highly competitive environment.
"THOR" league is for players who may have played in high school or whose skill level are generally average and who have a moderate level of play.
"LEISURE" league is for players most interested in playing for pure enjoyment and may be new to the sport. The leisure league is focused primarily for social interaction and is not as competitive in nature. |

TOURNAMENTS Tournaments include all teams who have not forfeited more than two league games. Tournaments that follow leagues are generally single elimination. Weekend events are usually double elimination. Other tournaments are offered from time to time and may be found at http://activities.byui.edu/sports/recreational/events. |
